A complete kitchen remodel opens up the space to the neighboring living room, the entry is modified to create new sight lines, and the master bedroom gets a makeover. New custom flooring and high-quality paint throughout the apartment contribute to a new look and feel, tying the home together.
The client wanted to brighten the apartment and connect the kitchen to the living spaces to make it easier to entertain guests.

A stove located on the kitchen island required a creative solution for the downdraft system. A concealed panel behind the cabinetry below houses the mechanical systems and hides them from view both inside the cabinets and outside the island. When the client is cooking, a hood pops up from the countertop to provide ventilation, and it’s seamlessly tucked away when not in use.
We eliminated many of the closets in the master bedroom and built a European wardrobe system with custom lighting. We also modified closets and the laundry room near the entryway to create an unobstructed line of sight through the living areas to make the space feel more open and improve the flow.
Existing columns and gas risers required creative design solutions to maintain the open feel the client desired. New wide-plank floors were stained on-site with a unique finish, and a fresh coat of paint throughout made the space feel clean and new.
